Letter from Sweden

Hello!

Im having a great time over here in Sweden. Yesterday they celebrated a Swedish tradition called Midsummer. People got together and did some pretty fun things.
At first they served delicious food like herring, potatoes, salmon, eggs, ham and some cream cake as desert. The cake was actually not very good, it almost only tasted cream, and that didn’t taste great.
The adults sat around the table talking, and all of a sudden someone started singing a song and everyone sang along. When the song was over they all drank a schnaps and then they continued the talking. It was really weird and I’ve never seen anything like it.
After a while everyone stood up and took a hold of each others hands. They stood in a ring around a big flower threaded pole. They sang songs and did crazy dances. Some of the dances were frog dances and they made frog noises as well.

Regards, Wilma
